KBB Recognizes Eau Gallie Veterinary Hospital with We Noticed Award

Press release by Jennifer Thompson –

Keep Brevard Beautiful’s (KBB) South Action Team presented the “We Noticed” Beautification Award to south Brevard’s newest animal care building, the Eau Gallie Veterinary Hospital.  This beautiful and unique facility is located in Melbourne and received the award on October 11.  The Eau Gallie Veterinary Hospital has been operating for several years but recently decided to expand their operations into a more aesthetically-pleasing structure.  The number of clients and a need for more space and services inspired several members of the business, including Dr. David Retamozo, his wife Marina, and practice manager Gemma Millar, to design an upgraded facility that could offer additional amenities such as a comfort room, several exam rooms, a pharmacy area, a treatment and recovery area, a surgery room, an X-ray room, storage areas, break rooms for employees, an isolation room for sick animals and even a dedicated space for boarding and grooming.  “We wanted the outside of our facility to reflect the amount of caring we give to our patients on the inside,” said Dr. Retamozo, DVM.  After years of planning, the new facility is open and the landscaping, with palms and bushes surrounding the parking area, matches the beautiful look of the building.

Attending the “We Noticed” presentation were City of Melbourne Councilwoman Yvonne Minus; KBB staff; South Action Team members; City of Melbourne employees; and the administrative team of the Eau Gallie Veterinary Hospital.

The South Action Team recognizes property- and business-owners throughout the southern part of Brevard County year-round for their efforts to beautify the area and environmentally improve their landscaping.  The program has been in operation since the 1990’s and has recognized dozens of properties throughout the County.
