Keep Brevard Beautiful Recognizes Cumberland Farms with We Noticed Award

Keep Brevard Beautiful’s (KBB) South Chapter presented the “We Noticed” Award to south Brevard’s newest convenience store chain, Cumberland Farms.   The two stores located in Palm Bay and Melbourne received the award on January 14, and the remaining two stores in West Melbourne will receive the award on February 11.  Based in Massachusetts and founded in 1938, Cumberland Farms now operates nearly 600 stores.  The “New England Farmhouse” design, created by their internal design team and Allevato Associates, enhances their aesthetics and is the new upgraded look for their chain.  The landscaping includes palms, shrubs, Florida-friendly ornamentals, and sculptures created by local artists through the Brevard Culture Alliance.  These sculptures will be periodically changed to showcase local artists’ work.

Attending the “We Noticed” presentation were Gregg Lynk, City of Palm Bay City Manager; Jennifer Wilster, KBB South Chapter Chairperson and Board member; KBB staff and South Chapter members; Bob Gwizdala, Cumberland Farms Area Sales Manager; Ray Fisk, Cumberland Farms Marketing Manager; and the Cumberland Farms store managers.

The South Chapter recognizes properties throughout the southern part of Brevard County year-round for their efforts to beautify the area and environmentally improve their landscaping.
