Florida International Coastal Cleanup Results

The International Coastal Cleanup for Keep Brevard Beautiful had sixteen sites and plenty of volunteers to go around!

The data collected was provided to the Ocean Conservancy for their worldwide reporting. After that, the Ocean Conservancy released this report.

The report shows just what was found across our beautiful state.

Here is an excerpt from the report:

Similarly, some solutions to ocean trash are presented in the report, such as:

  • REDUCE SINGLE-USE PLASTICS
  • INCREASE RECYCLING
  • HELP FISHERMEN REDUCE AND RECOVER LOST FISHING GEAR
  • ATTEND OR HOST A BEACH CLEANUP
  • SUPPORT RESPONSIBLE BOATER EDUCATION PROGRAMS
