The Sea Turtle Preservation Society has adopted Cherie Down Park and Beach in Cape Canaveral, as part of our Adopt-a-Shore program. Volunteers pick up litter on the first Saturday after the first Thursday of each month starting at 8:00 am and usually finishing by 10am. This event is family-friendly! Youth (16 and under) are always welcome with the accompaniment of a parent or guardian.
Can myself or my student receive volunteer community service hours? Yes, anyone who participates in the cleanup is eligible to receive up to 2 volunteer service hours. Please see the STPS cleanup host for signatures.
What to Bring? A reusable water bottle, protective gear(hat, long sleeve shirt, sunglasses), sunscreen, and comfortable shoes.
