Our Lagoon Friendly Lawns quarterly education summit for lawn care contractors and homeowners is coming up at the Satellite Beach Civic Center on January 10th, and we’ve got some important topics to cover that will help you achieve, maintain or upgrade your Lagoon Friendly Lawns certification! We’ll start out with a brief introduction to the Lagoon Friendly Lawns program and how it works, then Sally Scalera from the Brevard County UF/IFAS Extension Office will launch into our education topics. This time, we’ll be discussing how to utilize soil testing to maintain proper lawn chemistry and prevent over-fertilization and how to identify and remove exotic invasive plants from your lawn. Sally’s presentation will be followed by a group discussion and a question-and-answer session.
