AND THAT’S A WRAP ON SUMMER SERIES 2024

We love to spend our Saturday mornings with our outstanding volunteers.

All 60+ of you who came to the final summer series event deserves a hearty round of applause!

In 3 hours we managed to divert 1820 POUNDS from going into our waterways. 1820 POUNDS of trash was collected at the Spoil Islands near 528 Saturday morning—an amazing feat!

A very big thank you to Cape Crossing Boat Rentals for donating the boats for shuttling the volunteers to and from the islands. Thank you to Dolphins Waterfront Bar & Grill for providing the space for us to host our afterparty and the most delicious post cleanup meal.

But most of all THANK YOU to our volunteers for sacrificing your Saturday morning to cleanup our beautiful county. We couldn’t do what we do without you guys!

An exciting part of this year’s Summer Series was the kayak giveaway. Volunteers who participated in all three cleanups were in the running to win.

Juan Rodriguez (left) and son Ethan Rodriguez, pictured, were the lucky recipients of the kayak, which is going to make gathering trash from the lagoon much easier. Be sure to join us next year for more fun and possible kayaks.

We can’t wait to do it all again next summer!!
